Padre Antonio Y El Monaguillo by Ruben Blades (original lyric)

'Simón Bolívar'. Todavía no sabe decir el Credo correctamente;
en la Iglesia de monaguillo a ver si la conexión compone al chiquillo;

y sin saber por qué Andrés se murío a su lado sin conocer a Pelé;

Padre Antonio Y El Monaguillo by Ruben Blades (english translation)

Father Antonio Xejeira came from Spain, looking for new
promises in this land. He arrived in the jungle without the hope of being
Bishop, and between the heat and between the mosquitoes he spoke of Christ.
The father did not work in the Vatican, between papers and dreams
of air conditioning; and went to a little town, in the middle of nowhere
to give his sermon, every week, for those who seek salvation.

The boy Andrés Eloy Pérez is 10 years old. Study in the elementary
'Simon Bolivar'. He still does not know how to say the Creed correctly;
he likes the river, playing football and being absent. They have given him the position
in the monaguillo church to see if the connection composes the boy;
and his family is very proud, because they think that
with God connecting to one, connect to ten. Bell rings,
One, two, three, of Father Antonio and his altar boy Andrés.

The Father condemns violence. He knows from experience that it is not
the solution. He talks to them about love and justice, God is the news
vibrating in his sermon; but the bells ring, one, two, three,
of Father Antonio and his altar boy Andrés.

The Father found war on a Sunday of Mass, giving Communion
in sleeve of shirt. In the middle of an Our Father came the Matador
and without confessing his fault he shot him. Antonio fell, ostia in hand
and without knowing why Andres died by his side without knowing Pelé;
and between the scream and the surprise, dying again was the Christ
stick stick to the wall. And the criminal never knew who was
of Father Antonio and his altar boy Andrés. They fold the bells,
One, two, three, of Father Antonio and his altar boy Andrés.

The bells ring.

Only among all we can make this a better place :)
